  All Howard Chairs, Chesterfield Chairs, Georgian Wing Chairs, Dinning Chairs and Victorian Nursing Chairs are built in the traditional manner using experienced craftsmen and the finest quality materials. All frames are solid beech and hand finished. Legs are French polished and hand waxed providing a rich texture. Seats and backs have double cone springs sewn to jute webbing throughout, fixed at the waist and the top to maintain balance and support. A cane edge is formed to stabilize the front of the seat, Hessian is then stitched in place and fixed overall. The top cover is fixed and stitched over an insulation/padding of rubberized hair and cotton felt prior to covering. Cushion fillings are 100% white china duck feather with other options available. Castors are solid brass with ceramic wheels in brown or white. Legs on the Howard Chairs are turned or tapered. Legs on the Chesterfield Chair can be turned or with bun feet. All materials conform to British Standard Regulations.  We can arrange delivery with carriers.
